We're excited to announce the addition of Favorites to the Gemiini clip library! You can now save any clip from the Gemiini library to uniquely named folders, making it easy to organize clips you want to use in future assignments.

Our sea life additions this week include image generalizations for shark, pufferfish, sea turtle, and whale. These clips are located in the full clip library under Spoken Language → People, Places, Things → Animals → Fish & Sea Life.

This week our film team has uploaded a new batch of clips teaching simple behavioral commands. These clips use live-action generalizations and picture communication icons to generalize the meaning of common behavioral directives including clean-up, inside voice, feet down, look, and many, many more!

Last month, we improved Levels 1, 3, 4, and 5 of the Language Pyramid with new and updated QuickStart assignments. To keep our members up-to-speed with these changes, I earmarked the past few articles to blog about those updates. But while I've taken a break from writing about new content, our film team hasn't stopped producing it!

Preemies are at an especially high risk for language delay. Research points to the fact that preemies do not develop the same level of sound awareness at 6 months old that full-term babies do.

Over the past few weeks, we have made many of our newest clips more accessible by incorporating them into our Language Pyramid QuickStarts. In my last post, I outlined the changes we made to Level 1 of the Language Pyramid and shared ideas for practicing imitation skills at home. In this article, I will review the changes we have made to Levels 3, 4, and 5. I will explain how to access the updated QuickStarts if your student is already working in one of these levels, and I will suggest a few methods for practicing the carrier phrases learned in Level 5 of the Language Pyramid.
