"I can’t believe how much Rylan’s speech has improved since starting it. I lost count of how many new words and phrases he has added to his vocabulary. These new words aren’t just words modeled in the videos he’s been watching. It’s been anything from actually answering questions (HUGE for him), to naming/pointing to new objects, singing songs and commercials to simply just stating his wants/needs using more than his normal 1-2 words.

"The other day for example I said to him after school "did you have a good day at school, buddy?" To which he replied "I play at school!" HUGE for him because he normally just ignores any questions we ask unless there is some level of prompting to answer. Even then, the likelihood of getting an answer is sometimes very slim. I believe the program has simply unlocked something to help him get his words out more easily. The same words we have always known where in there, he just has a lot of difficulty getting them out. Some of that may be stubbornness, too.

"Note- He always had ZERO interest in iPads/tablets or any device. Whether it’s visual, or interactive we have never been able to get him to use any sort of learning app in the past for more than a few seconds at best. This program completely draws him in! You also shouldn’t judge it by only watching a video or a few minutes of it (like I did). The impact reaches much further than I could have ever imagined it would. It seems cheesy, but IT WORKS. It has a 7-day free trial, so trying it out costs nothing. That made it a no-brainer for me.

"I’m sharing because I had never heard of it before Rylan’s speech therapist at school told me about it after learning about it from another teacher who uses it in her classroom. Without making this post obnoxiously long, Gemiini is a modeling program. It’s not just for young kids, either. It’s for any age and level and can be used to help increase language, reading, and social skills.

"Note- This isn’t a replacement for therapy, it’s to be used in conjunction with. Rylan still receives both in-school therapy, and outside therapy.

"I’m not affiliated with them in any way, just a mom who tried it after it was recommended and who is REALLY impressed with the results. It’s literally the only thing we have changed in the past few months. More changes are coming though, which is why I wanted to share before we added anything else."
