Students’ IDEA Rights Have Not Changed During the Pandemic
Congress hasn't waived or changed most requirements related to IDEA at this time.
Although schools were closed from mid March 2020 through the end of the school year, and many schools will not be offering in-person learning at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, the rights of eligible students under IDEA remain the same.
Discrete Video Modeling (DVM) promotes generalization and maintenance of skills, no matter the environment. School staff, parents, and caregivers can simply reinforce the targets the student views on Gemiini for continuation of skills across school and home environments.
Research-Based
An evidence-based practice since 1990, video modeling is a demonstration of the targeted behavior or skill shown to the learner to assist learning in or engaging in a desired behavior or skill.
Student targets can be quickly identified through Gemiini’s online QuickStart Language Assessment to determine the scope and sequence of skills. Teachers can also translate assessment results—such as from the Vineland, ABLLS-R, or VB-MAPP—into instructional content through “keyword” searches of our proprietary online library of over 150,000 videos and therapeutic “playlists” focused on Language, Cognitive, Social, Emotional, and Motor skills.
Customizable
Individualized student programs based on IEP goals and objectives, 504 Plans and curriculum based assessments. (Individualized programs based on behavior analytic assessments, IEP goals, 504 Plans, and curriculum-based assessments. The application of the system can be completed by Gemiini staff, overseen by a qualified professional or parent-mediated.)
Consistent & Collaborative
Allows key team members access to student videos, targets, and progress. These key team members—such as teachers, SLPs. BCBAs, OTs, and parents—also have the ability to view and if appropriate modify and edit assignments in real-time.
Which Students Benefit from Gemiini?

Imagine how your school system can improve those struggling students’ outcomes through an on-demand, proprietary online library of 150,000 videos and therapeutic “playlists” focused on Language, Cognitive, Social, Emotional, and Motor Skills.
