Videos from QuickStart Skills are designed to supplement the Language Pyramid curriculum. Gemiini members can assign videos from the Skills library according to their own assessment of their student's needs. Our new Before & After clips teach meaning and usage for the prepositions before and after. To model how these words refer to points in time relative to specific events, these clips show a side-by-side comparison of the same object before and after something occurs to change its state. In one clip, we see a child's hands before and after she uses finger paints to create a picture. In another, we see a banana before and after it has been peeled. A third clip shows an ice cube tray full of water before and after it is frozen in the freezer.

Gemiini's High Interest videos are a great way to get learners who are resistant to viewing time interested in attending to video assignments. These videos use fun musical clips to generalize basic word labels and pronunciation. Watching High Interest videos creates positive associations with viewing time and helps students engage with Gemiini.

This week I'm excited to share new content teaching effective ways to communicate rejection of an activity or request. We also added to our gross motor imitation category and uploaded a series of clips that use a new interactive format to teach the carrier phrase "I hear".

As with all of our carrier phrases clips, our new content for Carrier Phrases: Go In teaches a pragmatic phrase students can use as a foundation when learning to expand sentences. The phrase "go in" has practical applications in many different situations. Because it is so easy to generalize, these clips are a great choice for students who are just beginning to string words together into sentences.
