This week we're excited to share new content for teaching capitalization rules. We'll also be looking at clips designed to help learners understand words that have the same spelling but different meanings. We'll dig into the clip library to discover where you can find these clips and how they can be used in your student's assignments.

This week's article explores Life Skills clips we uploaded earlier this year to teach chores, cooking, dressing for the weather and interacting with fasteners. We will learn how to use this content with other clips from the Gemiini library to create assignments that promote independence and self-confidence.

We've added more tracing clips to help improve motor planning and eye-hand coordination, and new clips have been added to teach contractions. We've also added a new format of clips to encourage kinesthetic learning for spelling simple verbs.

QuickStart Skills is a collection of pre-made videos targeting skills related to verbal communication, self-reliance, health and hygiene, behavior strategies, peer interaction, and social skills. Videos from QuickStart Skills are designed to supplement the Language Pyramid curriculum. Gemiini members can assign videos from the Skills library according to their own assessment of their student's needs. This guide describes what you'll find in each category of QuickStart Skills and will help you decide which videos could benefit your student.

Our new Before & After clips teach meaning and usage for the prepositions before and after. To model how these words refer to points in time relative to specific events, these clips show a side-by-side comparison of the same object before and after something occurs to change its state. In one clip, we see a child's hands before and after she uses finger paints to create a picture. In another, we see a banana before and after it has been peeled. A third clip shows an ice cube tray full of water before and after it is frozen in the freezer.
