Vancouver, WA – A new video series created by Gemiini Systems is helping children with autism improve speech. Gemiini Systems founder Laura Kasbar came up with the idea for her campy and the videos when her twins were both diagnosed with autism.

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN 6) — A very basic video is making a huge impact on some children with autism — and it was created by a mom right here in the Northwest. A Vancouver family told KOIN 6 News how it has helped their son make big strides.

Laura Kasbar, a mother of 7, created a specialized filming technique that is showing remarkable results in teaching language and reading to special needs.

To help her twins, Kasbar created a learning platform called Gemiini, which offers educational videos for people on the autism spectrum and others with brain injuries, Down syndrome and other types of learning disabilities.

At first glance, they could almost pass for masterpieces by Monet or Renoir. But these impressionist-style paintings -- which are changing hands for thousands of dollars -- were painted by a five-year-old girl who is unable to speak.........According to Carter-Johnson, systems like Gemiini, for instance, have made an immeasurable difference to her ability to communicate.

“Brilliant!” That’s what Heather O’Shea, executive clinical director of the Comprehensive Educational Services’ Irvine center said when she saw a video made by a mom whose twins are autistic.
