When Laura Kasbar’s twins were diagnosed with Autism she set out to do everything she could to help them make progress. In 2000 Laura Kasbar began a labor of love by creating therapy videos for her twins diagnosed with Autism. “I wanted what every mother wants; what every father wants.” By August of 2014 those videos turned into Gemiini Systems, a company that is empowering parents across the globe to reach for their hopes and dreams using this powerful and effective tool.

We started using Gemiini about a month ago now, and I have to say that my whole family loves it. You might remember from my first Gemiini Blog that, when we initially signed up, I was pretty overwhelmed by the size of the program and was relieved to start with a few Quick Start Language and Quick Start Reading videos while I attempted to figure it out.

This is my monthly post on Jacob's speech progression using Gemiini. We started a few months back and he's progressed from using signs and a series of grunts to babbling with consonants, and even trying to use words.

We have two autistic sons 4 and 8. My 8 year old is doing well with verbal but our 4 year old is non-verbal. The system concentrates on pronouncing words and the program repeats the word over and over and allows the child with autism to focus on the mouth not the whole face while pronouncing the word.
