Introducing the Gemiini Language Pyramid
Language doesn't develop vertically.
Whether a child has a language delay or not, every person begins with pre-verbal skills and expands from simple language to more abstract and complex understanding and expression over time.
This progression happens naturally in typically developing children so we don't tend to notice the steps that ultimately lead to complex language. It can appear that they jump from one-word labels to conversations over night, but that’s simply not the case.

The Language Pyramid was created to help parents understand language development and feel comfortable in the process, while also providing a quick way to create video sessions targeted to a child's current language level.
The Language Pyramid gives parents a place to start and guides them through the development process of their children's speech while providing an illustrated guide to the language development process.
Nine different levels of the pyramid show the progression from basic foundational skills to complex, confident, and spontaneous communication. Each level has recommended videos appropriate for that skill level, which parents select. These targeted videos allow children to focus on a specific skill set.

The Language Pyramid emphasizes the importance of building a strong base and can help parents feel confident in horizontal language development.

A child will progress through each level at his or her own speed but, with consistent therapy, will achieve success and move on to the next level.
